The Prospector's Story

What was your first job?
I worked at Dunkin' Donuts (cleaning up the place)

What was your worst job?
I took a "Marketing" job, but it ended up being a job where I would walk into stores and leave books and toys, then come back at the end of a week and hope some of the people there wanted to buy some of the crap! I lasted less than 2 hours!

How did you get started in radio?
Here's the deal. When I was 13 two friends and I won a daring DJ contest on ROCK 107. We got to be on the radio for one hour 6-7AM Sunday morning. That hooked me.

What do people tell you or ask you the most?
Things like "Hey Prospector you're gonna blow an artery yelling like that", or "you keep all that bitchin' up and you're gonna get fired"

What do like to do when you're on free time? 
When I'm not working I can be found riding my bicycle or watching sports on TV instead of actually participating in them.

Musically, who are your favorite artists? 
I'm a big fan of Sammy Hagar and AC/DC.

You mentioned riding bikes a favorite pastime.  We're not talking Huffy or Schwinn, right? 
Not for many years.  Right now, my favorite bikes come from Cannondale.  Check out their website.

If you could invite anyone to dinner (dead or alive) who would it be?
(Alive) Mel Brooks, man wouldn't that be fun! (Dead) John Roebling

Craziest thing you've ever done?
A Pants-less race through part of Philadelphia

Do you have any pets?
NOPE I am far too lazy to feed and bathe another
living creature.

What is your most annoying habit?
Correcting people’s grammar (though when I get it wrong I get it right back in my face)

Do you surf the web?  What are your favorite sites? 
Well, of course my sports teams, the New York Yankees, New York Rangers, and the St. Louis Rams.

What sites do you go to just to waste time?
I like Pick the Hottie.com, and comic Brian Regan's site.  If you have money (and time) to burn check out Wolfgang's Vault and if you ever wonder what all those phrases we say mean, check out this site.

If you had a theme song what would it be?
Man that's a much tougher question that it seems. I guess I could say something like For Those About To Rock but I have no idea...or maybe I Can't Give You Anything by the Ramones (sooo true)

Did you ever have a brush with fame?
Uh...hello I am the Prospector...besides meeting rockers and the like I did meet Lance Armstrong in Hershey PA before he ever won the Tour De France, oh and Sam Kinison on New Years Eve in L.A. back in 1989!

Three things you can’t live without?
AIR, FOOD AND WATER!!!! Sorry, My Bicycles, My Cell phone and my stereo

Where are your favorite hangouts?
My Living room in front of the HD set. I love Jack's Draft House in Scranton oh and I know this is going to sound trite but I cannot go near New York City without wanting to stop at the Hard Rock Cafe!

What is your favorite junk food? 
Chocolate Chip Mint Ice Cream

Tell us your dirty little secret.
I really, really like Jim Croce music (I’m so ashamed) oh and I am a big Prince fan. Dirty enough for ya?
