St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church 200 Stephenson St. Duryea will hold their Cicken Bar B Que Saturday August 25th on the Parish grounds. Dinner features; half chicken, baked potato, baked & green beans, desert & beverage. Tickets $10.00 adults, $5.00 child 12 & under. Call for tickets, limited tickets at the door.

The Rotary Club of the Abingtons is pleased to announce that they will be hosting the 7th Annual Taste of the Abingtons on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the Inn at Nichols Village Hotel & Spa from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Dozens of local restaurants and eateries will be providing specialty food items of their choice under one roof – from savory appetizers and exquisite entrees, to scrumptious desserts and specialty coffees. The event offers the opportunity to sample great food, enjoy entertainment, and mingle with family and friends, knowing the proceeds will be benefitting numerous Rotary projects both locally and internationally. Tickets are only $25 per person and may be obtained from any Rotary Club of the Abingtons member or by calling the chair, Bob Vielee at 570-586-3135.
